Mal. Umar Farouk Mohammed, is Executive Director of Technoworld Community Foundation (TCF) and Senior Technical Advisor (Stakeholders Engagement) to the Centre for Peace, Diplomatic and Development Studies (CPDDS) University of Maiduguri. He was Country Representative of Ifa Cross-Culture Program in Nigeria. He has over thirty (30) years’ work experience in the public and development sectors. He is a passionate and result-oriented development practitioner with focus on building social capital for the promotion of peace, socio-cultural and political development in Nigeria and beyond. He has a strong background in Alternative Dispute Resolution, Early Warning System for Conflict Prevention, Organisation & System Development.
He has developed and managed partnership with the Government of Nigeria, International Development Agencies, Civil Society and Community Stakeholders to ensure their active involvement and collaboration in programme development and implementation. He has successfully worked and programmed in Nigeria, Chad, Sudan, Myanmar, Northern Ireland, Jordan, Germany and Austria among others, and has developed and facilitated International Cross-Culture Learning and Exchange Programme for High Level Islamic Religious Scholars and Leaders.
