Haruna Ayuba, is an Associate Professor and Coordinator Academic Programme, Centre for Peace, Diplomatic and Development Studies University of Maiduguri. He is also Research Coordinator, Centre for Study and Promotion of Cultural Sustainability (CSPCS) University of Maiduguri. He has taught and supervised undergraduate and postgraduate research projects, theses, and dissertations. 

He is proficient in international relations and global affairs. He has authored articles in journals and book chapters at the national and international levels on topical issues. His areas of interest are: Politics and Development Studies, Peace and Conflict Studies, Gender, Environment and Contemporary International Relations. 

He is a Fellow African Cities Research Consortium at University of Manchester, Fellow Nigerian Institute of International Affairs (NIIA), Fellow Centre for Research and Documentation (CRD), Member International Political Science Association (IPSA), Member Nigerian Political Science Association (NPSA). He is lead Researcher at African Cities Research Consortium.

Haruna Ayuba, has served as consultant to Natural Resources Institute of Greenwich University, Search for Common Ground, British Council and International Organization for Migration (IOM).

The event is a conscious efforts by Stevico Agro Entrepreneur Nigeria Plc (SAENPLC) and Centre for Peace, Diplomatic and Development Studies (CPDDS) University of Maiduguri engaging Office of National Security Adviser (ONSA), International and National Thought Leaders, Intellectual Stakeholders, Security Agencies in bringing back balance, harmony and social cohesion in the areas most affected by the Boko Haram insurgency in the Northeast region of Nigeria.
